Description
Charlotte Wood is an independent Scottish illustrator based in Luxembourg. She creates distinctive and characterful artworks by blending traditional and digital techniques. Pens and inks, watercolours, acrylics, and coloured papers are among her preferred mediums, through which she expresses a refined sense of detail and emotion.
Deeply inspired by the natural world — a reflection of her childhood spent in the Scottish Highlands — Charlotte often incorporates found natural elements into her work to evoke rich and organic textures. Her artistic vision is also profoundly influenced by the Impressionist movement, whose mastery of colour, sensitivity, and experimentation she greatly admires.
For the artwork featured on this silk scarf, the artist reinterprets, in her own poetic style, the sculpture of Melusina located in the Grund. The result is a timeless piece that beautifully bridges art, nature, and elegance.
