Description

The landscapes of the Grand Duchy have inspired the greatest Luxembourg and foreign artists, starting with the Englishman William Turner with his famous watercolors of feverish romanticism.
Nicolas Liez is the second artist honored by this work. He is known for his line drawings of great graphic and topological precision. He was followed by other renowned landscape artists: Jean-Baptiste Fresez, Michel Engels, and Sosthène Weis. The works are accompanied by artistic and biographical comments by Michel Margue, Timothy Clifford, Pierre Grégoire, and Evy Friedrich.
