Description
This finely crafted jewel represents the oldest part of the Grand Ducal Palace, built between 1572 and 1574. In Spanish Renaissance style, flanked by two overhanging towers and topped by a steeply pitched roof, this building successively housed the Town Hall, the Government House, and finally the residence of the grand-ducal family from 1890.
