Michel Rodange, Luxembourg’s national poet, was born on January 03, 1827 in Waldbillig.he is the author of numerous poems and songs, but is best known for his “Renert”, inspired at the beginning of the composition by Goethe’s “Reineke Fuchs”.this “national epic” of 14 songs represents a social satire barely masked under metaphors and animal figures, in the Luxembourg language.
