Description
Michel Rodange, Luxembourg national poet, was born on January 3, 1827 in Waldbillig. He is the author of many poems and songs, but he is best known for his “Renert” which is inspired, at the beginning of the composition, by Reineke Fuchs” by Goethe. This “national epic” of 14 songs represents a social satire barely masked under metaphors and animal figures, in Luxembourgish.
