Description

Jean L’Aveugle (1296-1346), Count of Luxemburg and King of Bohemia, was born in the Abbey of Altmunster and died fighting in the battle of Crécy. Yvette Gastauer-Claire created the bronze medal representing King Jean surrounded by soldiers in a battle. At the verso, the following sentence is written: “Jean L’Aveugle, Roi de Bohème, Comte de Luxembourg”.
